Want some money? Get some from Echo360, a lecture capture platform, as they launch a research grant project. They’re now accepting applications for their third annual research grant program that will award four $10k projects to universities looking to review the retention, performance and recruitment impact of blended learning solutions on equipped higher-ed campuses. While all lecture capture and research topics will be considered, a special emphasis will be placed on applications that promise to review the impact of blended learning solutions on modern campuses. Research efforts such as studying the original elements that contribute to the field of blended learning, effects of lecture across entire institutions and projects that show a strong understanding of lecture capture within the learning technology landscape will earn priority. Applications will be accepted until September 16th and will be judged by a panel of veteran education officials including University of Kentucky Senior Associate Dean C. Darrell Jennings, University of Virginia President Emeritus John Casteen III, Murdoch University Associate Professor Rob Phillips as well as one member of the Echo360 executive team. “Sponsoring research is critical to the advancement and innovation of the education market,” says Echo360 CEO Fred Singer. “As blended learning platforms mature and the applications for the solutions evolve, measuring student and institutional results is essential to understanding the technology’s impact on teaching and learning.” Candidates interested in applying should visit: echo360.com.
