PowerSchool Unified Classroom™ enables K-12 educators to focus on each student with easy-to-use technology that connects the classroom and home. Teachers have a 360-degree view of student performance in a unified software solution that combines assessment, grading, and learning products.
A 2016 survey done by Finn Partners revealed 97% of administrators and teachers believe they would have more time to teach with all classroom applications unified in 1 system. This solution was developed to provide educators with one place to manage the entire instructional process, engage with students and parents, and ultimately improve student outcomes.
When teachers log into PowerSchool Unified Classroom, they’re able to manage student attendance; grade; view assignment and assessment results to determine where students are succeeding and need to improve – both as a class and individually; communicate with students and parents; create and add embedded content to gauge student learning; collaborate with other teachers; and create online discussions, assignments, and assessments. Since its launch in 2017, more than 200 schools and districts have implemented PowerSchool Unified Classroom.
Chandele Gray, a high school science teacher for RSU No. 10 said this about the solution: “I love that it can score assignments, give students immediate feedback and record the results of their work automatically in the gradebook. I also really like having a one-stop location for students and parents to check grades, access lessons and assignments, and communicate upcoming events. It is really nice to not have to have students (and parents) remember multiple websites, logins and passwords.”
